For the third GBA entry in the series, Nintendo has kept some of the features from GP Legend and removed others. License tests and vehicle edit are gone, but the influence of the cartoon is still apparent, as Ryu once again joins Captain Falcon on the raceway. Story mode is back in spirit via Climax's survival mode. The survival mode is set up as a series of missions similar to the racing segments of GP Legend's story mode, but minus the dialogue sequences and branching paths. In addition to straight-forward races, missions ask that you perform training-style tasks, such as weaving through through complicated tracks, accelerating faster than an opponent, avoiding obstacles and so forth. The game also features a Grand Prix mode with three difficulty settings and four different racing tournaments. Each tournament has you race between five and eight races in an attempt to come out on top of twenty-four opponents. |

GBA adaptation of Super Mario Bros. 2 (Super Mario Bros. USA in Japan). Mario, Luigi, Peach and Toad adventure through an incredible fantasy world on a quest to save the day, with little more than vegetables with which to defend themselves. The basic gameplay mechanics are the same in the Game Boy Advance version, but new enemies, better graphics and tougher challenges give the adventure a completely new feel.
Unlike other Mario games where Mario defeats enemies by jumping on their heads, in this game Mario and pals have to pick up items and hurl 'em at their adversaries. Each character has a unique set of strengths and weaknesses, such as Princess Peach's ability to hover longer than any other character.
As an added bonus, Super Mario Advance also features the original Mario Bros. game. |

Also known by its Japanese title Kimi no Tame Nara Shineru (I Would Die For You). You play as a rather ordinary character who one day falls in love at the first sight of a particularly hot chick. From then on, the character puts all his energy into getting the girl, only to find numerous obstacles in his way. The game was given its name to deliver the sense of how serious the main character's attraction is to the girl -- a good thing, because the entire point of the game is to earn the girl's affection. You use the Nintendo DS's touch panel to interact with the game and make the girl grow fond of you. The basic gist of the game is to touch the girl via the touch screen. In fact, the game doesn't even use the standard D-pad and button controls -- it's all about the touch. |

You control a lengthy rod that's continuously spinning slowly in a clockwise rotation. What you have to do is maneuver this rod through a series of mazes without touching the sides. Gamers have been enjoying Castlevania's eerie storylines since 1987, and the latest version of Castlevania for Game Boy Advance is one of the very best in the series. Powered by Game Boy Advance's 32-bit color graphics, Circle of the Moon looks great and sounds even better. The haunting music tracks and awesome sound effects are some of the greatest audio treats we've ever heard on a portable system. Turn down the sound on this one and you'll be losing a great deal of the gloomy atmosphere which is crucial to the Castlevania experience. Circle of the Moon relies heavily on the platform-jumping skeleton-whipping formula which led to Castlevania's initial success, but Konami has created some new gameplay elements which add to its depth. Instead of simply working your way from point A to point B in Dracula's castle, you can choose your own route through branching passageways and corridors. The gameplay is mostly linear, but you'll definitely make a few wrong turns before figuring out where you're supposed to go next. |

PUYO POP FEVER from Altus sends players into a world of bizarre yet cute characters who battle it out using puyos, colored gumdrops that fall from the sky. Like many puzzle games, the goal is to link up like-colored puyos into chains of four to make them vanish. PUYO POP FEVER features several different game play modes. The single-player story mode sends players through the world battling against different foes to become the best. There is also an endless mode, a mission mode where a certain challenge must be completed under the time limit, and dedicated fever mode, in which players must clear the whole screen as quickly as possible by placing puyos in the correct spot. The head-to-head mode allows players to go up against live opponents or against the computer, and multiplayer mode supports up to eight gamers using just one copy of the game. Players can tweak the rules used in multiplayer games, even creating customized ones. The most unique feature of PUYO POP FEVER, though, appears when players activate the fever mode during gameplay. The regular gameplay stops and players are given a new field and a pair of puyos. Place the puyos in the right spot results in massive combos that can literally clear the screen. This speed is much quicker, however, so players must learn how to quickly find the perfect places to place their puyos. Gamers who enjoy TETRIS and other puzzle games will find PUYO POP FEVER a great challenge. The use of the DS touch screen adds a new dimension to puzzle games that will keep gamers playing for hours. |

The GBA rendition is a collaborative effort between Game Boy veterans Digital Eclipse (Tron 2.0: Killer App, Spyro the Dragon) and Rockstar North (the creators of the GTA series). It is a completely original adventure that's set in the Grand Theft Auto III time period and world. The storyline puts players in the role of Mike, a member of the mob calling it quits. His partner in crime, Vinnie, has a few jobs for Mike to do before they both can leave for good -- but after Vinnie's killed in a carbomb explosion, Mike's the prime suspect. And now it's up to Mike to investigate why he was off-ed, and who was responsible. Running missions throughout the city reveals more of the storyline, but the game remains completely open for players to decide whether they'll stay the path or simply goof around and be a menace to Liberty City. |

A mischievous magician, known for playing pranks on poor unsuspecting folks, created something known as "Ghost Ink," a fluid that pretty much turns any drawing into evil and vicious ghost monsters. Any ghost created with the ink ends up just as mischievous as the magician. Ink ghosts have invaded books and paintings, causing trouble within those realms, and now it's up to Pac-Man to wipe out the ghost problem by using the "Ghost Pen," a device that allows him to enter the infested books and paintings to clear out the bad guys. Pac-Pix is a game tailored specifically for the Nintendo DS' system capabilities. By drawing Pac-Man characters in a specific fashion (the mouth first, then the circle, all in one swoop), the drawing will come to life and munch anything in his path. Players can maneuver Pac-Man drawings in different directions by plotting pathways on the screen for the scribble to follow.

Turn-based strategy game from the makers of Fire Emblem, Intelligent Systems. Players assume command of an army that's out to reclaim a world that's been broken up by warring factions. The battle map is essentially a grid, and moving units is like moving chess pieces on a board -- each of the units can move a specific amount of spaces within this grid, and can only attack at a certain distance from specific enemies. Advance Wars features more than 115 maps, a map editor, head-to-head play via link cable, and an easy-to-understand tutorial mode for beginners. |

Shoot, attack, and stave off the assault by defeating all the Invaders on the screen. After annihilating a battalion of Invaders and defeating the Boss, players move on to the next stage. But beware of different types of Invaders, each with their own unique abilities -- it's "Game Over" if players lose all of their stock cannons!
As part of the series' 30th anniversary celebration, Taito has reinvented the classic in many ways while keeping the old-school charm of the game we all know. Infused with new graphics and sound, Space Invaders Extreme takes the classic gameplay of the original to the next level. Trippy background elements and interactive sound help propel this extreme installment into the next galaxy. |

Comical action game from BeeWorks and Success. Players take control of Straw, an apprentice witch. As you work your way through the game's 2D stages, you make use of "Mono," a white-colored, three-tiered character who can apparently understand human beings.
Mono substitutes for a ball in the game, and you work your way through the stages by throwing him around. Using the stylus, you draw circles on the bottom screen in order to build up energy and toss Mono further. Apparently, building up strength is similar to how one builds up power in a golf game; your goal is to build up enough strength so a bar on the left side of the screen ends up in a small target zone. You'll have to work your way through eight stages by tossing Mono here and there. |
