Snes9k is the Snes9x SNES emulator with Kaillera client support. Kallera basicly enables the emulator to play on the Internet with multiplayer support and access to various internet servers. The Snes9x is a great Super Nintendo emulator for which ports are available for many platforms, unlike ZSNES. Though Snes9x also has many of the features of ZSNES, it lacks a bit in compatibility. This doesn't mean it's bad, especially since it basically allows you to play most games designed for the SNES and Super Famicom Nintendo game systems on your PC or Workstation; which includes some real gems that were only ever released in Japan.
This is still work in progress. Your help at finding bugs is really appreciated. |

Snes9x is the result of well over three years worth of part-time hacking, coding, recoding, debugging, divorce, etc. (just kidding about the divorce bit). Snes9x is coded in C++, with three assembler CPU emulation cores on the i386 Linux, Windows and Mac ports. |

ZSNES is a Super Nintendo emulator that is hands down simply the best Super Nintendo emulator available. Programmed by zsKnight and _Demo_, it is ultra fast and should run at full speed on any Celeron or faster PC.
It also supports Super Nintendo features which are very hard to emulate (and which were unavailable just a while ago), like DSP1 emulation (Mario Kart), SuperFX emulation (StarFox) and now even C4 emulation (Megaman X3)! These features make ZSNES the most compatible Super Nintendo emulator available.
The sound is also great as ZSNES allows some special tricks like sound interpolation and a low pass filter. You can get 44khz Stereo sound with ZSNES, but you must have a fast PC for that. |

Emulator Enhancer is an extra enhancement for the Mac Nintendo Super NES emulator called BSNES.
This emulator does not focus on things that would hinder accuracy. To that end, it does not include any game specific hacks, or idle-loop skipping optimizations commonly found in other emulators for compatibility. To add to the fun, it uses a cycle accurate hardware emulation. As a result, the minimum system requirements for bsnes are very high.
The emulator itself was not derived from any existing emulator source code, such as SNES9x. It was written from scratch by myself. Any similarities to other emulators are merely coincidental. |

SNEm is an old but very good SNES emulator. It has a reasonable CPU emulator, SPC700 (+ sound) emulation, incomplete PPU emulation, and functional user interface. It is definitely worth a try! For more information about features & controls consult the readme file included within the emulator download. |
